Glan-Y-Don is situated in the beautiful seaside village of Borth -Y-Gest which lies at the gateway to Snowdonia. and sits on the Welsh coastal path which will lead you to the many coves and beaches that lie on this beautiful estuary.
This historic harbour town has a variety of shopping, drinking & eating places.
A legacy of it's past are the 2 narrow gauge railways, The ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways.

The birthplace of Lawrence of Arabia, Town and Country Planning and quite possibly -Frankenstein. In this picturesque village there are 2 pubs a restaurant as well as a chippy.
A very popular destination for tourists are the 3 mile long, "drive on" Black Rock Sands.
It is also a very popular destination for wind, kite and Kart surfers out of season.

This stunning Italianate Village built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1975 is well worth a visit. Portmeirion is also famous as the setting for TV series"The Prisoner" and over the last 6 years has hosted the award winning Festival No6.
